Question about 1998 Volvo V70
My Volvo V70 (2005) blows about 5 seconds of hot air (which I have it set to do), and then blows about three seconds of cold (outside?) air. The air speed is not consistent; it seems to blow hard then slow down, then repeat the cycle. It does this for hours, and the car in zero weather never gets warm. I have tried it on Auto, manual, recirculate, etc., all speeds and settings, it continues to do it. Help!! Larry
It sounds like you need to go to the shop. the blend doors control the air flow, heat, and distribution. There are about 6 to 7 motors in all. They most likely need to be recalibrated. There is also a possibility the Climate Control Module Software will need to be upgraded. There is a small chance that there is a bad blend door motor that is crashing the communication link between the motors and the module.
Either way it goes only the dealer, or mabey a very heavily invested independent shop.
Hope this helps.
