Fuel pump may have gone, mine just did. There is a weep hole that will spill out oil towards the back of the pump, check this for wetness, Hook a gas can or something up to the carb or pump directly and let gravity do the work, if it starts, then it's your pump.

Ther is no fuel door light in a 06 Corolla.
What you see on the dashboard is an arrow to indicate fuel door is on the drivers side. Of course once you fill up the first time you know which side it is on. Very handy if you rent a corrolla.
This is usually because the spring the pops it open is broken, have someone pry on the fuel door while ppulling the release inside, the spring clips onto the hinge if it's broken get a replacement from the toyota dealer
yes we need to know if it's carburated or f.i. it'll help out a bunch, anyways, either way the easiest thing to get you started would be to check the fuel filter make sure it's not clogged up, check your fuel lines as well. if that doesn't, clean the intake jets.
fuel is not just fuel this days, there are alot of impuritis in it and with time (gets worst in older models) those impuritis bekome more and more with time. so what can happen wen you run out of fuelis that those impuritis went trough the pipes and bloked your injectors, never let your car run out of fuel. but ofcourse its impossible to say way you ae86 doesnt work, i meen its just a idear. hope it helps
