I think i may have an injector sticking open just wanted to know if any body else has had this problem?
SOURCE: 2002 ford ranger 3.0 is missing on 2 cyl plugs ok injectors ok new coilpack
do a compression test,as the intake manifold, like alot of fords is no good.
SOURCE: engine miss at idle. cylinder 1 and 3 has no fire
Try the ignition module. This is more than likely your problem. It is on the coil pack where the wires connect to.I have had a few of these go on me.This should take care of your problem.Hope this helps.Good luck.
SOURCE: I have a 98 Ford Ranger, 3.0L. I replaced the EGR
i would change your idle air controle its 60$ and a great start

I would definitely do a compression test on all cylinders, compare all cylinders to each other. You are not really looking for a specific reading but all cylinders should be about equal. As little as 10 psi difference can cause a misfire issue. If a compression test looks suspicious engine diassembly will be required for diagnosis. starting with the valve train, then the cylinder head to look for cracks. Possibly burnt valves or excessive carbon build up on valves. If no problem is found check the lifters or the camshaft for worn lobes. If the compression is good, it may be caused by a defective powertrain control module or faulty wiring between the PCM and coil.
