1 can someone give me a diagram on where it is and looks like? I had someone check it out but I was not satisfied in what they said. No meter was put on the wires. Jut check connectionand that does not mean anything becaue there could be a loose wire somewhere. Waitingon a part to come in and when it does I will have the guy check it all out. If not I will take to Suzuki and they will fix everything.

Sounds like you have a bad fuel gauge sending unit.

SOURCE: fuel gauge

Check the connections to the fuel sender are in good order, not loose, wet or corroded.
Check the fuel sender is properly grounded.
If no fault found as above, a new sender may be required.

you can connect voltage tester on your battery and make some one crank the engine and check for cranking voltage , your battery can look okey and you still can have lights works but may not able to produce enough voltage to run starter.
voltage should be little over 12v when crank and start jumps around 14 and come back 12v,when you crank the engine if voltmeter drops means need new battery.

Fuel gage stuck on full

Either there is a short in the fuel sender wiring or the sender in the tank is bad.The actual gauge is rarely bad.Good luck.

Else
The float affixed to your fuel pump in your gas tank is stuck.

It tells the dash you ALWAYS have a full tank.
You have to drop the tank, PB Blast/WD40 the float, get it to drop down.
Finally
Your unit in the tank is bad. Pull it out and move it up and down while someone looks at the gauge. If doesn't work, buy a new one. They are not that expensive.

Fuel gauage not reading on 2005 kia sedona

the fuel sender in the tank is probably the problem, they do wear out quick on KIA some models.

fuel pump 005-bvfgzkcgdgpdwn0i0pszqeun-4-5.jpg use a old tooth brush not new as this is to harsh, and clean the strips on the sensor you can take this part off to clean all parts are just clipped on.

The fuel gauge is'nt working.I tryed to ground it

When testing a fuel guage you should disconnect the wires to it,guage should read over full, ground the float wire, turn off key then turn back on should read empty. You have to cycle the key for guage to move.If still inop the wire is broken in the harness between the tank and the dash.Voltage on the float wire is low. When tested with a test light it will barely light the light and pulsate. This test indicates the wiring is good.

Gas guage no longer works when below half a tank.

You are probably looking at dropping the fuel tank down and removing the float and sending unit ( all in one unit). Once it's taken apart, you may see that you can fix it or you may have to replace it.

Fuel guage varies from full to empty on a full tank of gas.The car has 160km. on it Is it possible to repair this problem by me or must it be taken to a garage?

Hi. this part will be the sending unit and it is located in the fuel tank. replacing this device will fix your fuel gauge.

If you remove the sending unit in the gas tank, move it manually by hand as u saw done earlier, the gauge on the dash should also move. As long as the sending unit in the tank isn't 'stuck' at the half full level, the gauge should register empty to full as it moves. To be honest, I'm not sure if I would bother taking the sending unit out. 1st, u must be very careful not to blow yourself up when working on the gas tank (no sparks, etc), all u really need to do is fill up your car, see how many miles a tank of gas will go (carry a can of gas with u to see how many miles before u run out). If it's 350 miles, just set the trip gauge to zero every time u fill up, and get gas every 300 miles so u don't run out. If the sending unit moves freely, everything (wiring ) is connected properly, then it probably is the fuel gauge. good luck!
