I had the same problem that I just fix by flushing the heater core out with a hose.
take the two hoses off the fire wall and put the water to it and let flush. my heater is putting out 150 dg. F of hot air. I'm so excited! i will stay warm now.

I like that you were knowledgeable to check both coolant lines tells me you are getting hot coolant through the heater core next thing to check will be the blend door on the inside of your vehicle. The blend door is a door that switches from cold air duct to heater duct depending on what you are using at the time. If it is stuck on the cold air duct you will not get any heat sometimes these doors are vacuum actuated and sometimes they are electrically actuated most the time you are able to see the movement of the motor from inside if you don't see any movement but you hear it move chances are it is the door blend I hope this helps.
try flushing your coolant system. if you have air compressor.remove hoses to heater core and try ro blow it out. also with the car running see if the hoses are the same temp. if not try blowing out the heater core. also start the car and see if the water pump is pushing water out of the hose goimg to the heater core. also a bad radiator cap could keep it from heating up.let the car run and see if the top hose gets hard to where you can not squeeze it. if you can than replace the radiator cap. hope this helps leave comment.
if your truck is not overheating and shows no other signs of a cooling system problem, i would suspect a clogged heater core. you can try to flush it out by removing both heater hoses from the heater core, and with a garden hose, flush the core in both directions
Sounds like a stuck heater core valve. Find heater core valve. Under hood, find the two heater core hoses going into firewall. One of the hoses has a valve. Operate temperature control (full heat, then full cold) check that valve changes position. If not either replace valve or control system failure. Also, when temperature control in cold position, one hose should feel hot and the other cold. Temp fix: disable valve to close no heat or on heat.
