Will 17" rim fit 19" rim like some models have

When changing rim sizes, you need to manage the "height" of the tire to compensate. Usually folks are shifting to larger rims so to keep the circumference the same, a lower profile tire is used. If you are going from 19s to 17s, you will need a much "taller" tire. I believe Tire Rack has a calculator that can help with tire selection. Tire Tech Information Tire Size Conversion Chart

Would these measurements fit? I have a 2012 Chevy Equinox LT and looking to put on new rims and tires. These are the measurements for tire: 225/45 ZR 17. The rims are 7.5 J X 17 H2. Would these fit?

what you need to find out the most is the backspacing of the wheels not rims.. search your vehicles wheels on google and figure it all out. if the backspacing is not enough the wheel will hit the brake caliper. have fun stay dirty.

What happens if I put 16" diameter wheels/tires on

Hi, this will lower the centre of gravity of your Jeep, this will in turn make your Jeep handle better on the road, this will also affect your Speedo and mileage slightly. The Speedo will be reading a slightly faster speed and add about 5m to every 1000m actually travelled.

2003 GOLF GTI THE BEST TIRE SIZE FOR 17'' RIMS???

I would advise you to leave both sides with 235 45 17 this tire size would provide you with better handling and improved comfort also tires wil be more protected of suffering damage in the sidewalls caused by bumps and potholes just remember to keep them inflated at 38 +/- 2 psi.

Tire size please

Laura, from factory the car came with 215 x 55 x 17``tires. The actual number is printed on the sidewall.
< This means you have 17`` rims, with 215 mm tire tread width and the sidewall height of the tire is equal to 55% of the tread width. This is referred to as the tires profile...
If by chance you are shopping for snow tires you can install a complete 16`` winter wheel set , tires and rims with the same overall outer diameter as a 17`` set, because the 16 or 17 only defines the hole size in the tire ....however the sidewall height and tread width would be different on a 16``tire.

Snow Tires

This is going to effect your ABS and odometer readings. Suggest sticking with the 17 inch tires and can use your original rims.
