if that is for one bulb, that's crazy. you can get them much cheaper online. it's not difficult to replace the bulb yourself. the bulbs ususally cost roughly $117 USD each. If the dealer is suggesting they will change the bulbs for both, it's a deal to have them replaced for less than $250 USD. I won't lie, it's a pain in the ****.

SOURCE: How to change front right headlight bulb (left side when facing car)

Unplug the connector running to the back of the headlamp bulb. Remove the rubber ring that is on the back of the headlamp. It just pulls off. After the rubber is removed, you will see the clip to release the bulb.

There is a light cover in front of the battery... take this off and then look for the metal clamps holding the light housing in.  (I say clamps, but they're more like glorified paper clips on either side of the fixture.)  Press in on each side, pushing the clamps towards each other and pull the fixture out.

Behind the low beam and high beam lamps, on the back of the assembly, you can see and feel a round, cup-like, hard plastic piece. This is really just a rubber cap covering a plastic cylindrical housing, and is the "back-door" for lamp access. This rubber cap, or lid, can be pulled off with your fingers...if you can grip it just right and pull off. If this is too hard to do, then take a flat tip screwdriver and gently "pry" it off. Once you see how it is attached, your going to do a 180 and say, "gee, this is a pretty easy design" ! The bulbs do not pull out!! They are removed with a 90 degree twist.
If you are going to replace the passenger side low beam remove the air cleaner assembly first. To do this remove the cross brace, then the 3 screws on the air cleaner assembly. This will give you easy access to the bulb assembly. Test the bulb before you reassemble. ADDITIONAL OPTION: On each side of the assembly, you will see a small, thin release bar that will pull up (I needed a small pliers to get one loose). Once both are in the "up" position, the entire assembly can be gently eased out. You won't get far because the other bulbs are still plugged in. However, you don't have to unplug any of the other bulbs or remove the air cleaner. Easing out the assembly simply proves more room for your hand to get a better angle at the bulbs. I simply reached around and removed the old bulbs as specified above and did the reverse to insert the new ones.

Remove the headlight assembly. Just remove the 3 bolts with a 10 mm socket and pull it out so you can disconect the wire harness. After that pull the whole assembly out and unscrew the bulb cover. The bulb is held in with a spring clip.

SOURCE: I need to replace the right turn signal bulb on my 04 Range Rover

Look behind the light fixture from under the hood and you should be able to twist the bulb out of the fixture after removing the connector. I am pulling from memory on this but that is how it should be removed. Takes less than 10 minutes.

You need to access phillips screw next to top right side of driv headlight and slide turn signal assembly forward. It helps if you remove black plastic access plate above headlamp.

What could cause my right front turn signal to not work some of the time. The bulb was checked and even replaced but did not solve the problem. Each time the car is turned off, the signal will work for a...

Some of th intermitent problems with lights can be traced to bad ground connection since flasher bulbs draw quite a bit of current. Some cars use the car bodywork as the ground connection. If the rear lamp flashes faster than normal when the front one does not you have a bad connection. Check the bulb holder and the ground connection.

The nearside xenon headlamp does not work, i have fitted new bulb 2004 range rover

Hiya, if changing the bulb doesn't work it is probably the ignitor or the ballast. You can get a second hand set on the internet, just make sure to get the serial number right. If it is the ballast it is very easy to replace. For the headlamp on the left side as seen from sitting in the car it isn't even necessary to remove the headlamp. You can replace it just by unscrewing 3 torx screws and replace the ballast. If it is the other side you probably but not necessarily need to remove the headlamp which is also a piece of cake, see http://www.rangerovers.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=31259&p=269733&hilit=headlamp#p269733
If it is the ignitor it is a bit more work since it is integrated inside the headlamp unit which you have to take apart to reach it. Chances are slim that it is the ignitor, the ballast is the weaker part and since it is purchased as a set I would recommend to try to replace the ballast first. Just make sure to switch off the lights and remove the key! It is dangerous because of high voltage!

Can the headlights on 2006 range rover be adjusted for europe

Depends....
If your car is right hand drive and you're taking it to another location that is right hand drive, then it will be fine the way it is.
However, if your car is right hand drive and you take it to another location that is left hand drive, then you cannot use those headlights. The reflector and projector assembly of a right hand drive car is designed to throw more light towards the passenger side of the vehicle (where your road signs would be)

I replaced my main bulbs with hid xenon in my 98 range rover hse

First let me just explain something about putting HID bulbs in a reflector headlight, then I'll get to answering your question. High end cars use something called a projector with their HID bulbs and these projectors focus the light into patterns that won't blind other drivers with very perfect cutoffs (no light goes above a certain line). To retrofit a projector into your stock housing it takes a lot of work and careful measurements and thus a lot of time. But this is the only way to do a HID retrofit the right way.
Putting a HID kit into a reflector housing as you did, also makes light scatter everywhere, which creates many hotspots or high concentrations of light that make it much more difficult to see the road. Not only do HID kits in relfector housings make it more difficult to see, they are hugely illegal, and can/may get you pulled over and ticketed by a police officer.
The best thing you could do insted of putting a HID kit in your relfector housing is to get higher wattage bulbs, OSRAM makes some great H4 overwattage bulbs. http://www.rallylights.com/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=6
If you purchase from rally lights (you need to purchase them in sets of two( I wouldn't go over 85/80 watt bulbs because it could melt your housing.)
Also make sure your headlights with stock bulbs are aligned correctly, most of the time this alone makes a huge difference as headlights droop over the years.
If you are set on using your HID Kit illegally and blinding all other drivers on the road and willing to live with the risk of getting pulled over by any cop you run into. You will need to figure out how to trick ecu into thinking regular headlights are being used because its detecting the power being drawn for your HID lights to be a fault in the system that needs to be replaced. You can do this by wiring in a 55watt resistor to the circuit.

If your car and headlights are off then you will not get a shock. You have to unplug the bulb to replace it anyway so there is no way for you to get shocked.
