It is probably a bad coil, have someone put it on a computer and see what cylinder is missing. The coils go bad all the time on the 5.4's

Fail smog for high emission

you need to do a major tuneup !!!!!!! replace air & fuel filters, spark plugs & plug wires, distributor cap & rotor, replace OXYGEN SENSOR, change oil & filter, hopefully your catalitic converter is ok, if not , it should be replaced !!!!!!!!!!! together w/tuneup would be the best way to assure passing emissions !!!!!!!!

I have a 1993 Toyota Marino with a 4aFE engine. it's fuel consumption is very poor, 6.5km/liter. I have changed spark plugs, spark plugs reeds, fuel injectors and nothing changing. I checked the check...

Well you got half the tune up done, So replace the fuel filter and air filter. Gets some brake cleaner and clean inside the throttle body. check all the vacuum lines and make sure they are not broke or leaking. Also check the catalitic converter/s, These start clogging and will excessive fuel consumption.

1999 buick century 85,000 miles Getting poor fuel economy using 87 octane. keep tires inflated properly new air filter changed spark plugs(not wires) and 1 of the o2 sensors Mechanic said only 1 sensor...

When you do a tune up you should replace the cap, rotor, plugs, wires, airfilter, and fuel filter, this will insure that you get the best mileage. Also have the coil checked, for proper resistance. If it starts to get weak it will throw a lower than normal voltage spark. You can not look at spark plug wires and tell if they are good, this can only be done with an ohm meter. The resistance should be 3000 to 6000 ohms per foot of wire. One other note is if your car feels sluggish or lacks power is to check the catalitic converter. These clog up and stop air flow thru the engine. There are many many things on cars that will result in poor gas mileage. A good mechanic doesn't go by just the codes a car spits out, they have to read the numbers and diagnose what is wrong.

I've code p430 and p1000 and it said something about air gas controller

Catalitic converter mailfunction. Possible causes: - catalitic conv. mailfunction - o2 sensor mailfunction (ECU generates p430 from converter pre and post sensors data) - misfire; bad quality petrol, bad spark plugs, bad ignition coils (misfire means cat conv able to burn out without quick repair) - low fuel pressure: petrol filter needs replace, fuel pump needs replace - hole in exhaust system (sensors are ok, but measure wrong flow)

2001 saturn S-series difficult starting hot I have replaced the air filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel filter. the car will start fine in the morn. but after driving and going to start again it is...

check your catalitic converter. check the temperature pre and post converter. it should be relatively close to the same temperature. if it is hotter pre and a good bit cooler post. then your car is not able to release the exhaust and it will mak it hard to start when ot. also if it happens when it is hot outside and you run 87 octane fuel it could be vapor lock. that solution would be to run only 89 or higher.

1996 GMC Sierra starving for gas

this year hs a real problem with the fuel pumps and the fuel pump connector, this makes the pump run slow and you loose fuel pressure. the fix, replace the fuel pump and the fuel pump connector at the fuel tank.

Loses power above 55 or 60 and up hill

Try a good fuel injector cleaner, like LUCAS brand. See if you can find out how much fuel pressure you have also.

1996 Mitsubishi Montero has no power..

My 96 Pajero SWB 3.0 would loose power as soon as i accelerate. It feels like the spark plugs are miss firing or if the engine was flooded.

I did a general service which included oil change, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs i checked my O2 sensor, dissembled and cleaned throttle body and sensors. Cleaned air intake sensor as well as the distributer etc.

Problem not solved, still loose power when i accelerate....can it be something wrong with my ECU??

My A/C control isnt working at all. Found a 15Amp fuse that was blown but when replaced it shorts again. Where can i get a wiring diagram of the heater/a/c system for my vehicle model?
