Dash lights and tail light not working

My dash lights and tail lights are not working. I've checked all the fuses including #9 and they are all good. Not sure where to start looking. Maybe a relay??? The headlights come on fine when it gets dark but the tail lights and dash lights don't.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. i have checked the fuses and replaced the bulbs on my 99 cavalier, but passenger taillight still not working. all other lights work just fine including dash.

My dash lights not working on my dodge magnum but all the other lights work tryna figure out what fuse it is

Are you sure tail lights are working. These are fused together, so you know by the dash lights not working that the tail lights are out. If cluster lights are fused by themselves, which I do not believe they are, look for a 3 or 5, maybe even a 10 amp fuse. It will have a very low impedence fuse.

All my interior lights work except for my dashboard lights

Bigird,

I would recommend checking the fuses for the dashboard lights. If no fuses are burned, there could be a possibility of the bulbs in the dash being burned. In any case, start by looking in the manual for fuses relating to dashboard/gauge cluster lights. Once you find out what fuse it should be go from there.

Good luck

My tail running lights dont work and i checked the fuses how do i fix it

you say you checked the fuse so I ASSUME its good? and getting power? there is a Tail Light Relay. If the relay is good, then that fuse (tail light) will have power. If it does not, then check the relay, maybe rap on it. The relay is round up under the dash, left kick panel area. just below where the tail light fuse is.

93 chevy cavalear dash lights and tail lights are not working just checked fuses

GM actually did something that I thought was rather clever in the '90's. Whenever one of my rear light bulbs would burn out, I would lose my dash lights. I suggest that you check all your rear lights, brake lights & reverse included as well as turn signals. Start with regular tail lights, that's what was always burnt out on mine. I sure hope this is the problem. I was so glad when it was something that simple on mine.
Good Luck! Let me know, OK? I would like to know how I'm doing, too.
Thanks so much! I like to start with the simple things, instead of jumping to $$
from the start.

Dash lights and tail light not working

The dash lights and tailights are on the same fuse link. everything else will work like brake lights and turn signals but this one fuse causues alot of problems. Sometimes this fuses isnt marked on your cover so you might have to look in the maual to find the right fuse . some will be under the hood some will be under the dash .

Good luck to you all on finding this little fuse hope you find it before the cops pulls out behind you when its dark :)

Do you own a test light? Check for power at wires behind socket? Clean socket good , check contact spots for bulb & clean any rusty side of the socket with emery cloth, or sandpaper, for good contact also.
