When I start the car, it dies when I press the accelerator

check and test egr valve [carbon build up spring internal failure ] cat conv clogging /failing --check and test fuel pressure

sounds like a fuel issue / carb or fuel injection problem.

Start with a timing check, at higher miles the timing chain plastic guides wear and cause multiple misfire and driveability concerns...of course check the obvious, spark plugs, plug wires,c.o.p,fuel pressure..all basics. .ck engine light on?

have your fuel pressure regulator checked.

check coolant sensor and mass air flow sensor

replace fuel filter first check fuel pressure.

it may have a loose connections of connectors specially at the computer because there is no obvious problem with your car

Strange, it sounds like you've got a dead spark plug, but that would be continuous, not only in the morning, the other explanation could be that the engine management is injecting too much fuel, flooding the cylinder, and wetting the spark plug, which would explain why you need to wait 5 mins for the fuel to evaporate. Try disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes to reset the EMS, if that doesn't help, get to a workshop and let them check the EMS with a computer, the electric choke may be sending the wrong signals to the EMS. get a new coil and these above if you still have the problem could be yo fuel line, fuel pump ( Mechanical or electric ) or your carburetter

1999 300M 150,000 Miles

Car dies when coming off acceleration or at idle in traffic or at a stop. I can watch the Tach go to 0 RPM, some times it will restart immediately other times it is hard to start, so far I have always been able to re-start it and Drive on. Does anybody have verified fix for this issue, I have seen posts saying can and crank sensor, throttle body, EGR, and many more ideas... Do not really want to just start replacing parts with the hope that I eventually get a fix. Help...
