Automatic transmission in a '03 chevy impala
When u shift look to see if the shifter nob is going all the in and all way out if it ain't then your cable needs to be fixed for some reason Chevy made it so tight that the cable brakes or slips very easy fix
Other than changing the fluid and filter, probably not.

you should have checked the transmission fluid first .change it if black as dirty fluid can give you a sticky solinoid in the gearbox

there are a multitude of additives that can possibly get you working for a little while, but unfortunately if it is really slipping, nothing short of a rebuild can fix the problem. The additives will only prolong the life for an indeterminable amount of time.... if at all.
