Question about 2004 Ford Explorer
I was driving in the middle of snow storm on friday, front and rear windshields were working fine, I go to lunch they work fine, I go home in the e3arly afternoon and all of a sudden the rear windshield does not work. no fluid comes out, no noise nothing happens? what can i do?
I had the same problem First the back stop working on and off for awile and finaly stop working all together then we had a very cold day then the front stopped working so I replaced the pump and found out that the bottom of the reservoir and pump was full of ICE so I removed the ice and installed the new pump anyway solved the front window ( Also I used -20 deg F Blue Coral & De- Icer brand picked up from Walmart think the water came from that, 2 inch thick ice at the bottom of the reservoir let me know if anyone got that brand and had the same problem) the back was still out so I thought there might be ice in the line so I took off the hitch light and disconected the pump lines blew air through the lines It seemed clear so I reconnected the line on the pump and reinstalled the back light on the explorer and still no fluid in the back window so I followed the line and found it disconnected on the passanger side of the engine compartment where it splits off from the front to the back easy to find just follow the front line to the reservoir and you will see the second line behind the airbox FIXED THE PROBLEM! Good luck with yours.

Check two things - in the engine compartment on the left hand side - behind the air box - there is the feed hose for the rear washer - they come loose for no apparent reason. if this is not it check #15 breaker in the engine electrical panel
