Question about 1999 Saturn SL
I have a 99 Saturn SL1 and have replaced the motor on the driver side window 2 years ago. Recently, I brought my car in to replace the passenger side window after a Smash and grab job. After I left the car with the service, they called and said my driver side window wouldn't work. The window worked fine for two years, and it was working 2 hours prior to dropping the car off. All of the other windows work, there is no noise or any sign of the motor drawing power when I hit the switch on the drivers window.
Could this be something inadvertently caused by the repair? Or purposely caused by the repair people (I've never used them), or just a coincidence. Any thoughts on where the problem may lie.
Of note, two things coincided with these events. There was the first prolonged freeze in the area, and two my dashboard gauges intermittently shut off and turn back on again without loss of performance. (?electrical?) Please let me know your thoughts!
Sometrimes the wires between the door and the body break from opening and closing the door, check your window motor for paower with a test light, if no power, you have a broken wire, between the door and body
