Yes of course basically what there going to do is use a shorter belt about 2.2 cm shorter. Thats ok. it will work and also seems much cheaper. It doesnt hurt to try because there's a warranty to back you up. Merry Christmas and Happy New years.

I had that same problem on an Aurora. I don't remember which one, but I do know that I called a gm dealer and had them fax me the diagram location. The internet's diagrams were all too general.

How to put on the pwer steering belt???????

Hi there? If the old belt is still in there make a note where the belt goes so you know where the new belt goes. there should be a small pulley with a 16 mill bolt. Turn it clockwise to release the tension on the belt. make sure that the spanner don't slip and pinch your fingers, please be carefull.
Good luck.

Drive Belt Slipped Off

if the serpen tine belt slipped off chances are that the spring loaded adjuster pulley is no longer functioning like it should replace the belt tensioner assembly and new belt. you can also purchase a repair manual at an auto parts store for very little as well as ther parts. there should also be a diagram under the hood that shows the correct rounting of the serpentine belt.

Serpentine belt slips off idler pulley

The A/C pully is supposed to spin freely until the AC is activated to run.. The cranshaft pully does not. Replace the tensioner pully. The belt has to fit in between the grooves on the pullys.

Power steering lines/leaking pressure hose

If it looks identical then you may have the wrong line. Take the one you bought (I assume online) and the injured line to a parts store if available, or if you have the part number try to look it up online some sites have detailed pics of parts. If ends of lines are different you may have taken an adapter off that should not be off check old line to new. If it just a power steering line it should be no problem just to change the line. I suspect you may have received the wrong line.
