Question about 1995 Nissan Pickup

1 Answer

1995 Nissan Pickup with a 2.4 eng and 5 speed trans, King cab. Filled up the tank last night and for no apparent reason the fuel gauge went crazy. First reading only half a tank then reading below empty? What the heck happened? Sending unit failure? Bad ground? The electrical connector seems fine.

1994 Nissan v6 4x4 king cab fuel gauge wont work but fuel pump works. What can I do to fix this?

see if you might have a bad ground on the gas tank where wires hook up to the top of gas tank. I don't know if you can reach up and move the wires around from side to side could have a bad connection. might have to let the gas tank down. have you tried to check your fuses first. if you find one for the fuel gauge pull it out look at real good make sure it is not burnt across inside by looking at the fuse what I usually do if you have another good fuse same amp is try a different fuse just to be sure.i use to work on cars a lot but had surgery on my back so from work history of 30 plus years of knowledge I hope I can help others. I hope this works let me know if this helps. you also might try to wiggle the wires around on the back of fuel gauge. you may also have a bad gas gauge but try what I said to try first. god bless

Fuel gauge doesn't work. went on vacation and left nissan parked with all but empty fuel tank. When I returned and filled up, the gauge wouldn't register. Stuck???

Hit the top of the dash with your hand. if not you will have to check the wiring before you can tell if it is the fuel gauge or sender in the tank. This is not a commen problem.

1995 nissan king cab 4x4 se v6 speed ometer works sometimes

The most likley problem is in the speedohead itself. They do not make the part you need any more but I think you can have your rebuilt.

I have a king cab with 2.4 eng. manual tran. that is only skipping when ridding down the road

1st thing I would check is spark plugs. Sometimes they will only missfire on acceleration or under a load and fire ok at idle

The dash lights on my 1995 nissan pickup went out completely last week. before, the lights behind the HVAC controls were on or off intermittently, now i can't see the gauges when i am driving at night.

the bulbs are either blown or there is a loose wire in the back of the dash cluster if you cant find any loos wires them teh dimmer switch or head light switch may be the problem
