My instrument lights went out possibly due to wires touching when we took out the stereo. they were working when the headlights were off, then theyd go off when the headlights were turned on, now they dont work at all. i also have an intermitten seatbelt...it moves when it wants to. I just assumed that these cars have wiring problems from the start...but now i have to use a light to see how fast i'm going at night. what's next? also, any reason for the car idling high???

Dont think you will find one as evan the new haynes books dont have wiring diagrams only block diagrams as with the wiring diagram you can bypass the factory immobiliser.which means less work for the dealer when the immobiliser cuts in for what ever reason

1193 plymouth voyager. Brake lighs don't work

Maybe a relay or fuse is bad or the wiring to it.

But you said that the third brake light works.

So the brake switch must be ok.
Turn signals would be the flasher or wiring to it.prev.gif next.gif
CIRCUIT PROTECTION Fuse Block Fig. 1: The fuse box is located under a cover at the lower left instrument panel — 1987 Voyager shown 85616099.jpg
The fuse block and relay bank is located on the driver's side under the lower instrument panel. The fuse block contains fuses for various circuits as well as circuit breakers, horn relay, ignition lamp thermal time delay, and the turn signal flasher. The hazard warning flasher is mounted into a bracket below the fuse block. The individual fuse and relay locations can be found in the wiring diagrams at the end of this section.
is bad.

Need to locate Fuse for Horn; interior lights Fuse Box Cover

Hi,

On this model, the fuse block is located below the left side of the instrument panel, in front of the driver.

The Horn/Interior light fuse is usually the 10A one.

Instrument cluster does not work except oil pressure and voltage

I actually had the exact same thing happen to my 2001 Silverado and I bought an instrument cluster too. It was the 10A radio fuse in the fuse panel beside the dash. It was not pushed in all the way.

Where is the fuse for the instrument lights on the dash around the speed ometer and dash lights

Check the #4 and #21 in the Fuse Block; also review this document about ZJ-Secc-8W-Wiring-Diagrams (Page 8W-37 Wiring Diagrams Index).

Maybe you can see the Fuse Applications Char, Fuses Cluster 1 & 2, or Instrument Panel Ilumination items.

Good luck!!!

Tail lights don't work on 1998 Chevy Silverado.

check the wiring from the tailights back to the fuse panel, it sounds like an open connection. if i recall correctly check under the dash on the drivers side near the fuse panel for a bunch of wires in a bundle and look carefully for a wire or two that are cut/shorted/or seperated, you can also check under the drivers side kick panel by the hood release.
