Question about 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
2004 Jeep GC v8 special ed. Interior lights stay on however can be turned off with the panel dimmer switch but then the panel is dark, not good at night. all the power windows don't work either. all happened at the same time. Jeep dealer says he has never heard of it but quite a few post show the same problem. is this a big deal or something i can fix myself? thanks Gunnar.
I had the same problem.....there is a rubber boot that covers the wires going from your door to the body of the car.... the heavier gage wires eventually crack from the opening and closing of the door....you need to cut the rubber and get to the wires inside and splice them back together....the first time i had this problem my windows did not work...then a few months later my interior lights would not go out....different wire this time ...easy fix....
