The P0404 is EGR Position Sensor Performance. Changing the EGR should
solve the problem. The labor time guide only calls for .7hrs to change,
so it shouldn't be a problem to do this yourself. And the EGR should be
able to be obtained from any local parts store (i suggest a better
quality part store like NAPA as opposed to AutoZone)
What engine does it have ? 2.2 or 3.4 L After looking at service info. you must have the 3.4 L engine ! 2.2 l has no code P0404
Do you see any connectors not plugged into anything , 5 wire's ?
The code definition is "Exhaust gas recirculation control circuit range/performance" found a forum online that may have some helpful info for you http://forum.chryslerminivan.net/showthread.php?t=8397
P0404 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Open Position Performance I suspect the EGR got stuck closed, u will need to put around 30 miles on the car before the light will return if the problem is still present..
