Speedometer does not work at all what happened

Tachometer,temp,oil,etc work but nothing from the speedo

    speedometer, odometer, and trip meter, and cruse control are not working. it is a 2005 kia serento with manual tranny, and it cant be a cabel because it does not have..... any help?

    speedometer is usually a cable... it may have broken or the small gear that turns it.

That's hard to say for sure... only way to know is to pull the cable out and examine it.

Had the same problem replaced speed sensor not input or output but vehicle speed sensor still did not work I am taking it to electrical specialist next must be a wiring problem suggestion take it and have the cable checked first, it will save you a lot of money and aggravation ,forgot to mention Kia dealership washed its hands after charging me a bundle.

connection on the back of the dash needs cleaning if you push on the dash and it all works then this is the fault. sometimes hitting it works just fine for awhile but not to hard.

Tachometer and speedo gauges work intermittently


ytchometers are electrical so follow the rear of the tach back top source usually a wire on the coil Check wiring or inline fuse

Turn oil change light off


Hi dude just remove the small rubber bung on the dash board left hand corner.then with a small long pin or something press the reset button in there and the light should go of for another 20,000ks hope this helps cheers

You have two sensors on the engine that send a signal to the computer, speedo, and tach. If just one of these sensors goes bad your speedometer and tachometer can just stop working. Check if these sensors are blocked or if broken then replace.
