Same problem....FRUSTRATING! I'm going to replace the water pump today, as I found out that someone put the WRONG antifreeze type(must use "DexCool", orange colored) and not the old GREEN stuff. As I understand it, the DexCool has additional additives for the aluminum block and also lubricants for the water pump. I'll let you know if the pump is "toast".

same problem here, i can get slightly warm air if i'm in the car for more than 20 minutees and i have it set on recirculation, but there is no real heat coming out of the blowers and my temp gage on the dash stays in the cold, what would cause all of this anybody know? I'm thinking my thermostat might be blown, but not sure and don't want to soend the money

Where is your engine coolant temperature gauge running on the dash, normal, below normal, above normal?

Check coolant level,if full may need thermostat replaced, also on the little air flow check in glove box and see if there is a little door in back,if so you have a vehicle with cabin air filters in it and they may need to be replaced.

My 2004 Pontiac Aztek isn't blowing heat. It blows cold air. I had a coolant flush in december.

You probably have an air bubble and therefore doesn't have enough anti freeze in the system. Carefully remove the radiator cap when the engine is running and verify it and/or notice the hot/cold marking on the overflow tank. The system needs to be full to heat.

You have still got air in the system.Remove the Feed back pipe from the header tank and wait for all the air to come out while the engine is running making sure you are toping up the header tank at the same time Dont allow header tank to run dry while doing this.Good luck

99 subaru legacy overheats...

it may have a blown head gasket if it keep over heating or there could be just an air lock in the cooling water,, you will need to bleed the air out to stop the over heat as the water is not going around the engine its not opening the thermostat so it cant bleed its self take off a water pipe thats the higest pipe you can find it may have a bleed vent in a pipe were you can bleed it from ,,,top up the rad and header tank take off the bleed nippel when water with no air is coming out and the jobs a good un? run the motor for a time or go for a drive to check its not ever heating again and the heater should by now be blowing hot air,, top up the rad and header tank when its coold down

Ac wont blow 2001 pontiac aztec

Are you saying the blower motor isnt working? Does the heat blow? If it doesnt replace the blower motor. If car isnt making cold air you can charge it yourself or go to auto zone the should do it for you. Check ac belt.

2001 Aztek blowing cold air (strong) on left side of the car.

This is a blend door problem, this door diverts air either throgh the heater core or the AC accumulator core, it either provides hot, cold or a mixture or blend, this door is deep in the dash and in most cases the dash must be removed to service the little electric motor that operated the door.
