Re: AVENGERS **** IN THE WINTER!!!!
Get some lock deicer to fix it temporarily.... if you can get it in a heated garage or wait until a semi mild day and spray it with some spray grease to displace the moisture.......the spray grease should be something you do about 4 times a year to keep them free and working hope this helps....good luck!

First, make sure you are not low on antifreeze and that the heater is set correctly. Also, it is winter, make sure your coolant is not frozen. Heaters take longer to work in the winter when it is cold outside.
If the simple things are all ok, you may have a problem that will require diagnosis and new parts to repair. I recommend a pro shop with certified mechanics that will do the job right quickly the first time.
Your Land Rover is no doubt fuel injected.maybe cold start injector. injects gasoline when starting in the cold, carburated vehicles used to have a choke to enrich air/fuel ratio when starting in cold.
I have a 2000 pontiac grand prix with a digital climate control system.
The heat quit working, it doesn't blow out any heat. Now that it is warm
outside the air stopped blowing out any air. The digital temperature on
the climate control is not correct. When it states that it is below 30
degrees on the ext and it is warm outside the air wont be cold. Once it
starts going above 30 degrees the air gets colder. Today the blower stop
working all together. Was told it maybe the climate control unit was
bad. You can hear the door opening/shutting when you switch the temp
from cold to hot. But there was no heat blowing out whatsoever in the
winter time. Could you please give me your opinion on whether or not it
is the climate control unit or something else?
you need to have the Engine Coolant Temperature switch checked, since the
computer relies solely
on sensors, the ect tells the computer how cold or hot it is so the computer will
make it a rich or lean mixture to start the engine,if it tells the computer that
it is 75 degrees the computer will lean the mixture like starting a car in the
winter without a choke.
