Question about 2000 Lincoln LS
Won't open from the inside or outside. When the unlock/lock button gets pushed it seems that it works. Any suggestion on how I can fix this problem myself. Desperate to get it fixed. Can't get my kids in the back seat. Family car has turned into 2 passanger car.

you can but is tricky depending on how easy the starter is to get at.
take your ground cable and hook it to the frame somewhere it will make good contact and touch the possitive cable to the big wire on the starter keep in mind that it will turn over as soon as you touch the big wire on the stater,so turn your ignition key to run and make sure it is in neutral if it's a standard

Remove fuses 10 and 11 in the underhood junction box. Leave out for 5 minutes then reinstall. If the seats start working your Zephyrs dual climate control seat module will need replaced.

you can try feeding the switch direct but you will need to find out which wire carries the power to the switch, this can be accomplished using a test light or small meter. when you find which wire carries the power to the switch then you by-pass the switch and put the power to the other side of the switch manually instead of using the switch and the door lock will undue ut self. then you can change the door lock actuator.
