Question about 2003 Audi A4 Cabriolet
My headlights wont turn on
Driving around at night is a drag if you have no headlights. You get to talk to all the nice policemen.
Check your owner's manual to find out which fuse belongs to your headlights. If that fuse also serves other electrical items that are working, then the fuse is fine. If there's a fuse that serves only the headlights, then you have to check that it isn't blown.
The other possibility is that the relay is kaput. The owner's manual should also tell you where to find it. More often than not, it's on a panel near the fuse panel or a similar panel under the dashboard. (It might also be under the hood, mounted on a fender well, for example.) The actual item will be a black or clear plastic box about an inch on a side, which will pop out of the panel when you pull on it. Get a new one: they're cheap.
Less likely causes are a bad headlight switch or a disconnected or shorted wire. Easy/cheap things first.
