How much fluid will my 2000 pont. montana trans. hold?

Check trans fluid. If not full put a lucas trans additive then top off with trans fluid. check for leaks.

About the only way is to remove the coil pack, it still will be tight but this will give you enough room to work.

the cause of this is either low fluid in the trans or a leaking internal seal in the trans, this causes a loss of hydraulic pressure and then the resaulting slippage

i have the same problem with me 2000 montana. i was told that it was the tcc switch. it means that the torque converter is stuck in the on postion. to fix the problem i was told either to swap out the tranny with another used one or to have the switch replaced. the switch is internal and they need to drop the trans down to access the panel on the front driver side. the part is only $90 but its 3 hours labour.

did you have it programmed for the car , is there a e prom in it ? new or used ecm ?
