I replaced the starter last week and it is doing the same thing. Does this mean my starter was good? Is it possible for a new, not rebuilt, starter to be bad?

Had the battery tested as well as the alternator both are good. The strange thing is that sometimes it will start other times it will not even try to start. Heard that it could be the contacts on the ignition tumbler being worn out but only 70k on it so kinda skeptical.

I just had to replace my fuel pump, got that fix then a couple of days later it won't even turn over. I thought it may have been the battery due to the age of it and that when have the fuel pump problem I ran it low and had to charge it back up. So I know the battery is good. Now just every so often it will not turn over. Now I can leave it come back later and it will start no problem.. What you guys think ???

Check your lights..got power? if yes check that your cables are tight...yes ...ok try looking at your starter..you have a large cable going to it it could be loose or corroded.

You may have a dying cell in the battery. It will charge and seem OK but won't stay charged for long. Try a load test of the battery

2001 Chevy blazer check engine light has been on then last night ,blazer overheated and wouldnt start got towed home started after it cooled off added water to radiator the engine died and will not start...

It sounds to me that your engine shut itself off when it was overheated. If that's the case then you are looking at a major engine repair based on what you are telling us.An engine that gets hot enough to shut itself off does serious damage internally before it dies. You will need to take it to a shop to a complete diagnosis. Hope this helps.

1997 chevy s10 blazerdash wont light up when key

the dash sound's like a fuse, check the fuse box under the hood and in the door jamb on the side of the dash, also check your fuel filter and fuel pump, im betting on the pump because i have a 2001 chevy blazer that has had two replaced and it has 233000km on it!

When i turn the key I get no dash lights, 97 blazer

I had the same exact thing happen to me, I have a 97 blazer and after hours of screwing around with it and several different options... it turned out to simply be the ignition switch.
