Same problem here. What I have read and experienced with other cars is the "idle air control valve" or IACV is clogged. I ordered a gasket for two bucks and I am going to take it off and clean that ******. While I'm at it, I will clean the throttle body and the EGR valve and tube. When the these parts go bad or get clogged up with crud, the car won't ide very well and the computer will try and compensate, but usually can't.

96 Nissan Maxima. Has new starter. Wouldn't

Did you have the new starter tested befor you installed it? Was their a lot of corosion on the battery cables? The cables might be corroded as well cousing too much resistance for the starter to crank.

You have years to change the belt. It's a good idea to change the belt at about 100,000 - 120,000 miles, whichever comes first. Hope it helps!

Primary ignition fault. Reasons: Bad distributor cap (most likely) or ignition control module/ignition coil.
Hope that helps

1998 maxima gle Tune-up needed what parts do i need

Every 30,000 miles you need an air filter, every 60,000 a fuel filter, every 100,000 spark plugs. That's it.
