Sounds as if the engine has developed a cylinder misfire. First thing to do is access the engine control module data by using a scan tool to see what code or codes has turn the engine light on. After you retrieve the codes proceed with the diagnosis.
if you have a 4jx1 3.0 engine then the engine wont run properly because engine oil pressure is what drives the direct injection system.
Check for blocked oil filters 2 pieces if not remove the oil pan and check the oil pickup tube for oil sludge blockage
oil pressure at 5 bar all the time is generally a good sign and normal. After some enthusiastic driving on hot day you might see it drop a little when the car is idling.
There are unfortunately quite a few things that can go wrong but many cars that run well for a lot of miles so if its running well don't look for trouble!!
There is a couple of forums the maserati forum and and sports maserati forum with member who have the manuals on disk and will send them to you if you ask nicely.
I bought a printed copy form e-bay, it wasn't cheap but its a proper maserati manual so its quite a thing!!
On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle,
arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the
panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want
to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to
get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel
and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and
disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door
