Question about 1989 Cadillac Eldorado
About a year and a half ago i got into my car and the key would not turn. I had to pound the key in the ignition in order for it to work. It worked for a while then last summer it stopped working. My car sat for about 3 month's and then bam one day i pounded the key in it again and it worked. Now it wont work at all!! I dont have the money to get it fixed. I have a 5 month old baby and now I have to rely on other's to help me get around. I really need my car fixed. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated!!
No no no. dont spray into ignition. omg, u could do damage to componants. this is a focus defect among thousands of cars including me, the tumblers fail, ford wont recall they have it as a service bullitan, this is a reason i will never buy a ford again,. will cost 400 to fix, i been told they might pay for it. call your dealer and say its in a service bullitain and can u pay for it, if u tap the end of the key it will turn. use palm of your hand. what i dont is left the key in ignition and used the remote, i got tired of looking like im stealing the car by hitting it everytime.

Try spraying a little wd-40 into the ignition
