Follow the radiator hose back to the engine on the top side. Where the hose connects to the engine is the thermostat housing. Remove the hose clamp and hose (when vehicle is cool). remove the housing itself and the thermostat will be right in front of you.

Where is thermostate on 1998 chevy cav

If u have a 2.2L, I have the same car and just replaced the thermostat and it took 10 times longer to find it than to replace it!!! There is a "Thermostat Housing" on the engine itself, front of motor, left side but IT DOESN'T GO THERE!!! There is a 2-Bold, 2 or 3 hose, bracket out in front, very accessible that it goes in!! I found mine just searching diagrams of chevy cavalier's and found it in a 03'!!! The place it goes comes off of the "Thermostat Housing" and runs right up front of the car, left side!!! Hope this helps some!!!!

I have a 2004 Chevy Classic Malibu and was wondering on the coolant resevoir it has has a hose at the top where should that be connected or what is it for? When I put antifreeze in it runs out of the hose...

there should be one small hose going to the radiator from the resevor thats if the radiator has a cap on it if not then there will be 3 hoses two going to either the motor and the radiator and one that just hangs down so if any over flow from the radiator does not blow all over the motor.

Where is the air injection pump and smog pump in a 2000 Chevy Venture van?

If you look at the engine and see some tubes attatched to the exhaust manifolds ( these are called asperator tubes) follow the hose( usaualy a heavy duty rubber hose it will lead you to the pump. also you can see it from the front of the motor it is driven by the belt . ( cooling fan belt or the Harmonic ballancer belt ) .

SOMETHING BLEW OUT ON MY INTAKE MANIFOLD.

"blew out" is a bit dramatic...If it's a pcv hose it should have a ton of suction at the open end or where it had been attached. Also with that hose detached, your engine won't run at idle very well or at all. Most often, any hose that becomes disconnected stays pretty close to where it's supposed to be attached. Simply look for a clean attachment nipple near where you found the hose and put it back there.
