Audi 2004 convertable top malfunction

Upon taking a friend to the airport, I had a large suitcase in the back seat of which the top caught on briefly as I was putting the top down to retrieve the suitcase.

The top stopped about 3" short of closing and will now not operate.

Anyone know if I can fix this myself?

Just close BOTH the front and back MANUALLY and make sure its in the locked position. (follow the owners manual on how to close it manually). The warning light will go off and the switch will become operational again.
Cheers!

I highly suspect the fuel pump is failing. Fairly easy to check by removing the fuel supply line to the fuel rail (the one that typically screw connection). Put hose in a water bottle and have friend crank the engine briefly; you will see if fuel is coming out in large volume.

I locked my only set of keys in the boot of my audi a4 2004. how do i go about getting them out? can i take the back seat out and where do i start?

Yes, you can remove the back seat and access the trunk from car inside. The rear seat is split 60/40 and folds down for carrying even more stuff. Push the backrest upper lateral button and fold down the rear seat backrest. Then go into the trunk and take your set of keys.

Convertible top has to be put down/up manually.

Just took my 2004 A4 convertible (25,000 miles) to the dealer...needed new module...cost $375 for part and $300 for labor. Maybe this should be a recall item.

I went to put down my convertible top and it hit something in the back seat and now it is stuck. I had to manually put it down, the electrical part of it is still not working, Can anyone give me some...

I don,t understand how roof hit something in back seat
If roof is down you need to use special tool located end of driver side dash
Flip of plastic cover to see tool
Check owner manual how to use
The tool will locate between rear seat, this will close and lock rear cover
Make sure both sides of rear cover lock, get friend to press down
Once rear cover is locked down, remove tool, and check opperation
Make sure doors shut and windows down

I think I have a blown fuse on my 2004 Suburban

At the back of the outer seat adjuster rail is a connector. Sometimes the conn comes apart or wires break or wires get shorted and trip the seat circuit breaker or fuse. This will happen on either side of seat. Also make sure nothing was stashed under the seat to cause wires getting caught & pulled out.
