SOURCE: 1996 Chev Silverado K3500 dually, no brake lights

The chevys with red brake lights and turn signals do two things and I've fixeds alot of them. Looking at the tail lights with the hazard flashers on. both sides flash with nothingeles on? Or are the hazards yellow? if they're red and the third eye does work the turn signal switch is possible problem but it doesn't let the blubs and the circuit boards in the taillights out as they can fail and do some really bad stories the wires for the brakes and the turns and the hazards are the same ones and if the turns look right and the hazards look right then the turn signal switch transmites the turn too as this doesn't work part of your story can't be true

SOURCE: rear defrost dont work on

it works off heater fuse and has relay which you found and is good .the problem is a breake in the heating elements in the window. they can be fixed w/out replacing window . check each element in window w/ohm meter .put aluminum foil around the pos. lead on meter to check the wire.

I have a 2006 gm envoy, I have replaced the low beem bulbs and the fuses are not blown, low beem lights still not working what could the problem be

Check the headlight relay. If the relay has power going in but not out, the relay is bad (you can test it by swapping another relay from your box temporarily that is the same) No power in means a wiring or switch fault. Don't take it for granted that fuses 'look' ok. Swap it for a good one and test the lights. Other option could be a bad ground lead. They can cause all kinds of electrical glitches.

No turn signals in 2006 chevy silverado

Not the TS switch. It is the hazard switch. The hazard switch is what controls the flashing and power..Check that fuse first.

twstn79, Try checking the fuse and relay located in the power distribution box in the engine compartment. There is a legend on the inside of the cover to tell you which fuse and relay to check. For the relay, just switch it with the horn relay and try the horn to test this. Check the plug at the low pressure switch to see if there is power there. It is the low pressure switch that sends power to the clutch to engage it. If the fuse and relay test good and you have no power at the low pressure switch plug then the problem could be in the wiring and will have to traced. If there is power at this plug then check the switch itself. The switch can be checked with a DVOM meter. Check the switch, with the engine off, for continuity. If you get no reading then the switch will have to be replaced. Another possibility is the switch in the dash panel and/or any associated wiring. Good luck with this.

Headlight problems

Hi. That sounds like the Low/high beam switch is malfunctioning and in need of replacement. I believe this because the headlights will not come on no matter which power source is attempting to activate them. Clearly, they are not getting power. Since the high-beam indicator light is functioning and indicating HIGH BEAM it IS getting power, There is no further interruptions in that circuit, save the fuse. IF the fuse is good,.. tested good.... Then the switch is bad, if the fuse is bad... replace it. If this doesn't solve the problem You have blown all your headlights simultaneously, or lost all the connectors to the headlights all at once, or possible got so unlucky as to lose all connectivity to just the headlights magically. I'd bet the fuse if I didn't believe that you would have checked that before posting the question here, and that doesn't account for the indicator to be stuck, so.... This pretty much leaves the switch ol buddy, sorry.

NO POWER TO AC COMP

Fuse #5 is for your ac.

On the Hi/Low pressure switch conection Terminal 1 and 2 are for AC clutch bridge them briefly to see if clutch engage if so system is low on refrigerent.

If you get cold air its more then likely Hi/Low switch is bad.

Note engine must be running and ac fan in on position.

Good luck

2006 chevrolet hd 1500 no ac itseems like its blowing hot air out

Look under the hood on the driver's side there will be a fuse box. On the top cover there is a diagram to find the a/c fuse. If the fuse is good then check the a/c relay. If that is good also then you may have a freon leak. Good luck. Keep me posted please.
