2004 Trailblazer 6 cyl. idles too low and sometimes will kill but runs great. A scan code of P0606 comes up which relates to the pcm but this has been going on for over a year and it helps idle better after pouring an injector/fuel additive in the tank. I can't justify replacing the pcm and not solving the problem.

Removed and cleaned TB and disconnected the battery to reset the pcm but little to no difference. Will have to call to get a price on reflashing the computer.

The low idle could be caused by a dirty throttle body (TB). Take the TB off the intake and clean it thoroughly front and back sides. While doing the cleaning, disconnect the battery to reset the PCM. This will allow it to relearn to the cleaned TB.
As far as the P0606 code, it is possible that the PCM only needs to be reflashed (memory reloaded). This can only be done by a GM dealer.

SOURCE: 1999 Chevrolet Tracker low idle problem when cold

Here is the most common cause of surges and stalls and low idle rough idle, it is the idle speed control air-bypass valve and throttle valve (IAC for short), they get full of gunk over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

SOURCE: idle problem on a 2006 chevy trailblazer 4.2

The code indicates an issue with the Throttle Actuator control. This is a little motor on the throttle body that opens the throttle plates at idle. That control motor may be bad and thus, causing a low idle.

I hope this helps.

SOURCE: low idle code PO506

The dealer is looking for an easy way out, even though it may not be a big problem. They have the proper tools & equipment to diagnose it properly (or at least they should have) and repair it properly. I would insist on getting it taken care of , otherwise head for another dealer, have it repaired & send them the bill.

2004 Ford Focus 2.0 SOHC. What is the fix for P0606 and P0303 codes please?

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved to model category.

The P0606 fault code means that there's an error with your power control module (PCM). Your PCM is the computer inside your car that monitors all the vital systems. Basically, it's the brain of your car. Every time you start the car, the PCM runs a series of checks to make sure everything is okay.

How to Fix the P0606 Fault Code - Solo Auto Electronics

What the P0303 code means. The P0303 DTC is set when the ECU detects multiple misfires from cylinder 3. Misfires cause the ECU to set the Check Engine Light and put the vehicle into a failsafe mode to prevent damage. The Check Engine Light will remain until the code is repaired.

Code po606 is coming up on my 2004 trail blazer

P0606 is an indication that the engine computer (PCM) has an internal fault, it may require reflashing.
P0014 is Camshaft position timing-over advanced, this could be a result of the PCM problem.

The code P0601 means the internal memory of the PCM (computer) has failed self-test. The PCM may need to be reflashed or replaced. The other codes will probably go away after this.

I need the reason for the ecu error codes for a 2001 firebird 3.8L code #01 P0601,#02 P0606,#3 P1518

P0601 means your engine computer has an internal error; P0606 means that the engine computer has stored in memory exactly the running condition( much like a "black box") that the vehicle was in when the P0606 was triggered. P1518 also relates to the PCM in the matter of low voltage.

Try testing the battery as improper voltage can cause all of these codes. Otherwise it means that your PCM has failed and either needs to be reprogrammed or replaced.

The throttle body needs to be cleaned, grime in this area prevents the throttle plate from closing completely and allowing air to enter, making the air/fuel mixture lean.
Code P0526 is related to the fan clutch, it indicates that the fan speed is not what the PCM commanded. The fan clutch may have to be replaced.

p0606 refers to the computer (pcm). unfortunately there is little to do without the proper test equipment when the pcm (power train control module) fails. it is possible that something caused the p0606 code to set other than the computer being faulty, i.e. wires broken; voltage incorrect etc. but this will have to be sorted out by a trained tech. read the information from this link to gain further understanding.

Trail blazer runs well at hiway speed but after a trip, it idles well sometimes and other times runs rough, may die may not, sometimes even running away so you need to kill it to keep from crashing.

Have the trailblazer scanned for any DTC codes. Its sounds like you may have the TCC apply solenoid circuit shorted to ground, TCC solenoid blockage (easy fix in pan), or TC broken (must remove trans and replace TC). If your lucky it's just a dirty Idle Air Control (IAC) valve and can be cleaned with throttle body cleaner. Buy a can of throttle body cleaner and follow the instructions on the the can, make sure it's throttle body and not Carburetor cleaner. Carburetor cleaner is too corrosive to the gaskets used in the throttle body and pay attention to the IAC passage way in the throttle body. Good luck and keep me posted, and most transmission shop will scan the transmission for DTC codes free of charge for there test drive programs.

I have a ford f 250 with dtc code p0606, Internal Ctrl Mod Kam Error, what is wrong and how do I correct or fix

There is no P0606? P0602, P0603 or P0605. P0603 KAM interrupt can be a blown fuse or low battery, P0605 can be aftermarket chip / programing or PCM failure (diesels do have a reprogram for false P0605). P0602 is usually a PCM failure.
