Re: wheres tracking position sensor
Your traction control system is controlled through your Anti-lock braking system. this is a computer controlled system that you will need a special computer to retrieve the trouble codes from. sorry but it looks like a trip to the dealer.

I doubt it.
The main symptom with a faulty TPS is lack of acceleration.
And the check engine light should be on if the sensor is not functioning.
Long crank time in the morning is usually low fuel pressure.
yes you should. my brother had this same problem a few months ago. and his cavalier would randomly shut off on him when it wanted to. it can get dangerous if ignored. he ended up replacing the tps (throttle sensor) and the o2 sensor and it started running decently
Check engine light is for telling you that there is A problem with the fuel injection or emissions system, Most of the time there is no major problem to really wory about. ETS is the light for the Enhanced Traction system (traction control) This is not A vital component of your car. If these two lights come on together then the extra traction sensor is broken and needs to be replaced when the sensor is fixed the check engine light will go off and the ets light will work properly again.
A code P0121 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
TPS has intermittent open or short internally
Harness is rubbing and causing an open or short in the wiring
Bad connection at the TPS
Bad PCM (less likely)
Water or corrosion in connector or sensor
(TPS = throttle position sensor - mounted on side of throttle body and connected to accelerator linkage.) Causes
A code P0171 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
The MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor is dirty or faulty. Note: The use of "oiled" air filters may cause the MAF to become dirty if the filter is over-oiled. There is also an issue with some vehicles where the MAF sensors leak the silicone potting material used to protect the circuitry.
There could be a vacuum leak downstream of the MAF sensor.
In the vast majority of cases, simply cleaning the MAF sensor does the trick. Consult your service manual for it's location if you need help. I find it's best to take it off and spray it with electronics cleaner or brake cleaner. Make sure you are careful not to damage the MAF sensor, and make sure it's dry before reinstalling
Inspect all vacuum and PCV hoses, replace if necessary
Check for a dirty fuel filter and proper fuel pressure
Chevrolet customer service said the ets light means enhanced traction control (ets) check the fuses. if you do not find a fuse blown you need to take it to the nearest chevy dealer so they can run a diognostic on it to find the code and replace any electrical parts that need replaced so this light will shut off.
