Question about 1999 Ford Ranger SuperCab
My elderly brother, who lives in the Chicago area got an est of $731.00 to replace upper and lower ball joints on a 2 wheel drive Ford ranger. Is that amount reasonable?
That sounds pretty high, I had those replaced on my 99 ranger XLT and it only cost me $400.oo, in Naples, FL. Id definately shop around.

Approx.$250 in parts & rest is labor. Probably 3 to 4 hrs labor at most, even at 5 hrs labor, that's $100/hr labor. It must include alignment after the repairs, correct? Not sure what your going rate for labor is in your area. Probably wouldn't hurt to call around for a second opinion& estimate just to be sure.
