Question about 2005 Dodge Durango

2005 dodge durango anti-theft system

I have not used my key fob for a while. Today the alarm light on the dash board started blinking, a bright yellow (!) came up on the warning lights and all of a sudden my headlights and taillights started blinking on and off and wont shut off until my car is stopped and shut off for awhile. As soon as I open my door the lights start doing it again even if the car is not started. I replaced the battery in my key but it still doesnt work. What can I do? How do I by pass the alarm.

My 2002,ford focus se 5 SPD won't start at all no sound when key is turned. When key is in start position no dash lights come on and my anti theft light above hazards blinks continuously any ideas?

Verify battery condition by turning on headlights and seeing if they are bright. If ok, the theft system may be activated. Try locking and unlocking doors with the key fob. This will usually reset the theft deterent system.

2002 durrango has anti theft from factory turn key everything lights up but ignition acts completely dead and wont start

you need the key fob,not the key but the fob that goes with it,it has a chip that synchs with your ign switch that tells it to turn on the fuel pump,i had this problem on my 2000 durango, you will need to buy an ignition switch, key and keyfob from a junk yard,or ebay for 50 bucks, otherwise you will have to go to the dealer to get one programmed.

2005 chrysler 300c-deactivate anti-theft system

Instructions
    • 1 Ensure that the doors, hood, decklid and rear liftgate are properly closed. The alarm cannot properly arm if any of the doors or other openings are not closed.
    • 2 Replace the batteries in the key fob to ensure that the remote is capable of arming the alarm system. If the batteries have been dead for more than a few minutes, the fob will need to be synchronized with the vehicle to function. To synchronize the remote with the car, aim the remote at the vehicle and press the lock or unlock button twice. Next, place the key in the vehicle's ignition and turn the ignition switch to the "On" position. All of the steps must be completed within 30 seconds.

    • 3 Verify that the parking lamps flash three times when the system is armed using the remote. Alternatively, verify that the alarm is armed by looking at the alarm indicator on the dash. If the alarm is properly armed, the alarm indicator light should blink.

How do I disarm anti theft device on a 2001 ford taurus

SEE THE STEPS WITH CAREFULLY AND COMMON SENSE:God bless you
Press the unlock button on your vehicle's key fob to deactivate the alarm. If you've misplaced your remote for the car, use the PATS programmed key to unlock the driver's side door. Then, put the key in the ignition and turn the key to the "on" position. The vehicle's battery should be on, but the engine shouldn't be running.

  • 2 Locate the override button on the alarm box, beneath the driver's side of the dashboard. Press the button and hold it in until the alarm beeps one time. The LED light for the alarm should stop blinking, indicating the anti-theft system is disabled.

  • 3 To reset the vehicle's alarm, put the PATS programmed key in the ignition and turn the key to the "on" position. Press the override button. When the alarm resets, it chirps two times and the LED light begins blinking.

Had to jump start my 98 astro van the other day. It's chared up fine, but now when I turn the ignition key, it won't start. everything lights up on the dash, but I think it has to do with the alarm system....

if the alarm system is the problem, then "ANTI THEFT" would be flashing on the instrument cluster in bright yellow lights. I would verify that hte battery is good and good connections at the battery.

Your vehicle has a anti-theft system in the keys/column. It is activated when you take the key out of the ignition. The theft light on the dash should blink.

2009 dodge durango will not start

it could be that the theft system has something to do with it .it proably that the ignition system has a device in the module the locks the system up when the theft system has been activated you should have the dealer check the ignition system or the theft system check.
