Hyundai Sonata Blower only works on maximum setting

My 2000 Hyundai Sonata Blower only works on maximum setting.

Is it a rheostat problem?

Definately........they are located near the fan unit this helps them to keep cool

probley one of five possiabes problems

1. blower motor is bad (if case alot times will take resistor or relay out with it)

2. blower resistor (conrols fan speeds usally one speed will go out first example still have high speed but now low)

3. relay (may be one or up to three) (if more than one usally wont have the resistor stated above)

4. fuses

5. blower switch

Bulb replacement in hyndai sonata high mounted rear stoplight


Research revealed no available illustration of procedure. If memory serves, there are two 'access' plates on either side of the lamp assy (popped out with small screwdriver) and two phillps screws retaining the assy in place. Remove the access plates (plastic) and the screws behind them.. access is gained.
