Why is my 2000 Toyota Camry making a Humming sound

My 2000 toyota camry v6 is making a loud humming sound. The sound is coming from underneath in the back. It sounds like the muffler when it has a hole in it. When I drive a certain speed I hear it.

2006 camry wont start

What do you mean humming? From where?
you have to be specific( as specific as you can be) when you deal with cars.
is it coming from the dash? the engine? where in the dash, or engine?
from the rear( could be the fuel pump humming( under the back seat).
I would first check the fuses to start with.
I would reccomend a repair manual( buy at autozone, kragen oreilly, pepboys, napa, etc) If you really want info on your car model, you need one( not the one that comes with the car, that only tells you basic stuff).

A humming or growling noise can sometimes be heard due to inadequate lubrication in either the inner or outer CV joint. Inspect the boot and see if it is cracked or split. This symptom is more often due to worn or damaged wheel bearings, a bad intermediate shaft bearing on equal length halfshaft transaxles, or due to worn shaft bearings within the transaxle.

Hope this helps and good luck!
