Question about 1995 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
I own a 1995 E420. The car has progressively lost power over the past year. The trouble began with the vehicle's engine racing at passing speeds > 70mph. Then, it would need 10-15 minutes of warm up before moving after overnight or at least 5 hours sitting. Next, it would stall if any attempt was made to accelerate past 30mph. I recently moved to St.Croix in the US Virgin Islands where there is no dealership or person with a Benz computer to identify the specific problem. My local mechanic tried changing the fuel pumps, but that made the situation worse. Please help.
