Question about 1993 Ford Crown Victoria
1993 Ford Crown Victoria. My driver side front window was shattered and I have a replacement window. We cannot figure out how to put the new window in and the window seems to be a shade longer than the opening. Are we missing something? Does the metal frame under the door panel need to be removed, and if so, how do we do that? Or does it need to be dropped through the top, and if so, how do we do that when the window is a shade longer than the opening?
Look under Crownvic.net forums 1992 ro present. 4.6L archives BODY/GLASS---Window regulator replacement.
Just took the window and regulator out of my 93 Grand Marquis parts car to use in my 93 Crown Vic. It came out at an angle without removing the watershield and outside weather-seal as mentioned in the article. Hope this helps.

You just drop it down from the top at a slight angle. Then put the bolts back in and check to make sure that it moves freely.
