Question about 1998 Ford Explorer
I just had my car worked on and now it will not go into passing gear, it just slowly picks up speed. Someone told me I needed a new carburetor. I have been having trouble with the throttle cable being hard to push, now if I push the accelerator all the way down I have no get up and go. I thought cars that are fuel injected don't have carburetors.
I had this problem with my explorer and just now with my expedition. It was the idle air control valve. I took it off and cleaned it out with cleaner and now it works fine...this is the 2nd time I have had to clean it out with the expedition and I did it twice with my explorer too....
