Did you have anti freeze in your engine? if not then your probleme is that the water pump is conected to the crankchaft, and when the water is frozen, the pump and the crank will not turn to unfroze it you neded to attach an hot water hose to de ice the engine....note in the future try to instal an elctrical heaterto your engine and plug it in during cold temps and freeze ,make sure your engine is filled with antirfreeze all the time ,also use low voscosity oil grade like sae 30 w10

Ford 2008 F-350 remote starts great in warm weather will not start in cold. all lights glow plugs ect working just wont start truck and only if 35 degrees and below.

Since batteries lose almost half their cranking power at freezing, and since diesels require much higher fuel temps to start than gasoline engines, many recommend using a block heater whenever the temperature is under 35-40 degrees if starting becomes a problem.

? does my Mazda CX-7 have a block heater?

Rarely do cars come with a block heater unless someone like the dealer installed it.

If you have one, it would look like an electrical plug like the one on a table lamp or toaster. It would likely be out of harms way but findable and accessible, maybe even poking through the front grill of the car.

Engine warning light say "engine over heating" and heater blows only cold air and the vehicle looses speed

Loosing power is probably the computer trying to protect the engine from damage. The actual problem could be low coolant or a problem with the water pump.

I have a 2003 saturn LW300. The block heater is not working. I changed the end on the plug in and still nothing. is it hard to install a new heater cord if necessary? the temperature is -30oC right now....

Often it is the end that plugs into the motor that fails as it is subjected to the most heat and vibration. If you can do a OHMs test it will tell you if the actual block heater is Ok. I would just try changing the whole block heater cord and then try to find a friend with a OHMs tester if it still does not work.. If you can follow the cord down with your fingers it is usually not difficult to unplug or re instate.

My charade is hard to start, what should i do,... some people say that it has a heater. is it true??

If you are refering to the BLOCK heater, maybe. Delpends on how cold it is there. The passenger area heater would have zero to do with starting.

When weather gets below -15 C, truck has a hard time to start almost like no gas. After it turns over several time it will finaly start.

Make sure you use synthetic oil with a low viscosity, and if you do not have a garage, get a block heater to prevent these dry starts that are potentially damaging.

89 merc tracer blows cold air brrrrrrr

I would recommend flushing the heater core with water thru the coolant line, then blowing compressed air thru it also. And when you refill the coolant, make sure there is no air in the system.I would also recommend replacing the thermostat if you have the time and the money and the knowledge to do so
