I parked my 2001 Olds Alero for about a year had problems with fuel pump wouldn't turn on wouldn't hum so we replace the fuel pump we check the relay the security system we reset xcetera another year went...

engine cranking do you have spark at the plugs? Visually check. If you missing everything, meaning, no fuel pump, no fuel injector pulse, no spark at the plugs, engine cranking, then I'd have to check rpm signal, comes from crank sensor, Don't replace anything unless your testing points in that direction. Now, if you have narrowed it down just to fuel system, check the wiring circuits for fuel pump relay.

Check for damaged or leaking fuel lines, also check fuel pump fitted correctly & pipe work not kinked causing low fuel flow, or it could be faulty fuel pressure regulator You may just be unlucky & it may be a faulty fuel pump, just because its new doesn't mean it can't be faulty

My 01 Olds Alero was leaking power steering fluid really bad, changed power steering pump, then realized my rack pinion was leaking also, changed it. I still have no power assist in steering. I've

alot of the time bleeding the system is required when that much fluid has been lost, you have air trapped in the lines. to do this i jack the front end of the car up enough the tires are not touching the ground, remove the p/s cap and turn your wheels all the way to the left and back to the right and eventually pressure will come back check your fluid level every ten turns or so, your level will go down due to the air being purged out. dont do it to fast but not too slow just take your time the last truck i did this too it took me a total of 30 times left and right.. GOOD LUCK!

Have you reset the fuel pump switch...bled the lines? Try starting fluid for a few times then look at these issues.

Check for any loose vacuum lines that may have got accidently pulled off. Other than that, I don't know, you may need a shop to diagnose it. Good luck.

1999 olds alero leaking coolant

problem could be heads bolts . i put new bolts in put a little sealer on them . make sure your bolt holes is clean free from debris. put a lillte sealer on intake gasket on top and bottom where coolants travel. if all was done . drain engine oil in clean container .set it aside. take radiator cap off .you a coolant pressure rise kit .put a pan under oil pan with drain plug still off .pressure your radiator about 10 psi. make sure you have antifreeze in radiator and engine . when you pressure up to 10 psi look under the car if coolant comes out oil pan. you got leaking head gasket. if not .put oil pan plug back on . put oil back in car . check your freeze plugs also.
