there should be some aluminum lines under the truck on the rear of body, feel these lines with the a/c on, if they are cold then there is something wrong with your rear blen door, blend door is the door controling the cold or hot desire position, sometimes it is controled by vacium and sometimes it is electrical, if lines are cold what most likelly they will be then have the rear belnd door actuator inspect.

Once you get the nut off of the shaft use a pair of plyers or channel locks and wiggle the base back and forth it iwll come off and then you can replace the wiper assembly without taking anything else off.

Winshield wiper try to move but wont, the last time they worked was on high. when ignighton is turned on wipers jumps like they are trying to work.. during this time the wiper motor is very hot.

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. It sounds like your transmission in the wiper motor is slipping or broke. I would think you probably need a new one. But before, check your fuses. It could also be your actual wiper switch that is broke. But hearing what you said, I would think it is the motor.

My rear windshield wiper stopped working on my 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe. I can hear the motor working but when we replace the motor it still wont work.

My 2005 tahoe did the same thing. I also bought a new motor, which did not fix. I discovered there was a bad ground. Instead of searching for bad ground, just install a short length of stranded wire with crimp terminals between a wiper motor mounting bolt and a rear glass latch assy mounting bolt to restore good grounding to the wiper motor.

Hello. i just bought a used chevy 98 tahoe 4x4 and my winshield wipers stoped working.

Check the fuse for windshield wipers, that's the first point you can start looking for fixing the them.

Replace the rear view mirror

Gently tap the base of the mount upwards. I just replaced mine and I thought there was a cover over the winshield mount, turns out it is just pushed on to the wedge that is mounted to the windshield. Good Luck, webree
