my '93 mercedes ml 500 has the same problem. The radio displays all information but there is no sound. It's definitly not a fuse problem. Please help if you know what it could be. Mercedes-Benz dealer wanted me to replace the entire radio system for $2500! Whatever!

if the radio display is working then the fuse is ok, better look to the radio as the problem.

SOURCE: Can anyone tell me where the Crank Position Sensor

The CPS is located on the driver side of the car between the engine and the transmission. once you remove the air filter you can access it.

Autozone sells the part of $56. It is made by Bosch , the OEM is also BOSCH.

You will need some extentions to remove this. But you will be able to replace it in less than an hour.

I have a 2003 Cadillac Escalade, the Radio is working; but the CD player is not, also have six CD's in the CD player and it won't eject them

I assume you are not getting an error displayed on the radio. There are many reasons the player may have failed, from a fuse problem (there may be a blown inline fuse on the power feed attached to the player) to a jammed disk or defective optical reader. In any case, an error should be displayed on the radio. If nothing happens when you press the eject button, I suggest you visit a dealer who should be able to manually eject the cassette.

Power on, clock works, CD works, NO SOUND from the radio

Check the speaker wires maybe they have worked loose. And speakers themselves as they may blown. Do you have an amp if so check its fuse. Also check for inoperative interior lights, lighter, and horn. One of these circuits will power the radio's memory circuit. Some radio models will appear to work normally but have no sound if the memory fuse is blown. The clue is the clock will reset to 12:00 each time you turn on the ignition switch.

Windows, Locks, And speakers not working. No blown fuses

On some cars when you disconnect the battery for whatever reason certain electrical areas will not be restored to operation after the battery is reconnected. You need what they refer to as a radio code to restore radio and other circuits to operation. The code should be in car manual. If not contact the dealer for the radio code for your car.
