No brake lights or turn signals on a 1997 ford f150 4.6l v8 ext cab automatic whats wrong?

Did you check the fuses for both of them ?

Do the parking lamps work ?
- If not check the ground on the bulb connector.

When was the last time you changed the bulbs ? ( Could be the element is blown out ).

I have a 2001 Ford F150, my brake lights dont work. Ive replaced the bulbs, checked the fuses, and the brake switch on side of the brake pedal was replaced. I still dont have any brake lights. My third brake light works fine, along with my running lights, flashers, blinkers.

Left rear brake light stopped working but bulb and fuses are OK.

These are Dual Function Bulbs. They control the Parking Lights and the Brake Lights. This Bulb is Burnt out on the Brake Coil inside the Bulb. I have actually seen Bulbs that were Bad But you could not Tell by jast looking at them. It should be fine with a New Bulb. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

2004 ford f150 no headlights

In the central fuse panel (one inside the vehicle) check fuses 23 for left headlamp and 25 for right (10 amp fuses) for power with the headlamp switch on.You should have power accross these fuses with the headlamp switch on. If u do not have power check fuse 6 (15 amp). If this fuse is good then check for power to pin 7 RD/YE wire at the multifuction switch, if this is good then check for power on pin 6 RD/BK,if u do not have power here then multifunction switch is your problem.

You need to check the connection on the front of the master cylinder. This is the brake disengage for the cruise control. If it is wet this is the problem of the short. You need to replace the unit. This was a recall by ford. Now check the #15 fuse (5a) this controls the brake interlock switch. When you put the fuse in you will hear a click. This means you can now take the truck out of park. The lights will come on and the windows will work. If the windows don't work check the other fuses. By pulling them and replacing them made the windows work for me.

Lights

FROM: Lusty Kid:

Your fog lights should not work with high beam... they should work with the low beams. they are connected wrong, which probably drew too much current through the light switch burning out the contact points for the parking lights in the switch

Start by Fixing the fog light connections to work with low beams. Appears to me this was not factory installed. Aftermarket kit maybe! Then see if your parking lights work. If parking lights don't work still and everything else works, replace the light switch $50 at the dealer. The switch works the fog lamps when you pull out the knob to turn on the fog lamps when the lights are turned on. When the fogs are on you will see a little amber light to let you know your fogs are on. When you switch to high beam the fog lamps go off. Again if its not working that way, then is wired wrong. Needless to say, there should be connectors in the harness of the lights for the fog lamps. Use those if possible with the kit that you can get at the dealer, or you can splice the connector with those blue splicing clips sold at the auto part store. Make sure ground is ground when splicing and water proof the connection sith silicone and tape.
