2003 f 150 transmission overdrive fuse

The problem is that either the wiring harness going to the overdrive control motor has chafed and is shorting out, or the overdrive control motor is bad. Check out the wiring harness VERY carefully, if it's OK replace the control motor.

I have a 1985 Corvette. The battery was dead and I had the charger on it. I went to start the car with the charger on it. There is a wire that runs off the positive side of the battery and into the harness...

The fuseable link that is on it should protect the vehicles electrical at three places one for ignition switch a second for starter control and third for charging control ,The one on the positve is for the charging system

98 chev corvette auto transmission will not shift into 3rd gear or overdrive

I would start by checking the fluid level in your transmission. If it is fine, then it's possible one of the solenoids in the transmission is going bad. Is the check engine light on? Goodluck

1994 CHEVY CORVETTE, PULLED A DI DISTRIBITOR OUT PUT BACK NOW WILL NOT FIRE.

hooked up the harness, right? Is the rotor back in? the only other thing is it is not lined up properly, and you will have to get the engine to #1 compression at TDC and pull the distributor, line the rotor up to #1 wire on the cap.

1998 dodge 3500 will not go in overdrive so i had transmission rebuilt it will not stay in overdrive for only 2 or 3 miles i took the truck to advance auto they check it with a scanner and said it was...

If the parts are functioning correctly as you say which sounds like they do you must have a weak computer that needs replacing instead. If a short was there no overdrive will work at all times

Will a LT 1 engine from a 1994 z 28 camera install in a 1992 corvette with same engine and the same transmission without changing the electronic brain or the wiring harness

even though the LT 1 from the Z28 camaro and the corvette are similiar that is where it ends. Each car is programed differently, From the fuel pump to the o2 cencers. Alot of the wire connections will not match up if you do not change the wire harnesses. The computer might get fried if you try to "short cut" this project. Granted "some" parts are interchangable. Use caution when trying to interchange engines and transmissions. Aftermarket parts are avaible to make the swap easier. But its better to have a pro. do the swap and keeping it emissions legal.

1985 corvette doesn't have drive or overdrive

Sounds as if you need a new clutch plate. Try starting in a higher gear and if you have excessive slippage, that's what it is.

Need to remove ECM out of my 1985 Corvette

well your in luck i just removed mine today lol. there are 5 1/4 inch screws on the bottom side of the dash on the passenger side of the car remove them pull the plastic cover down and disconnect the light mounted on the piecce you just removed next make sure your battery is disconnected cause it may fry it if power is connected. Next you will need a 10mm look straight up you will see the box it is aluminum with 2 wire harness attached. There is a metal clip holding it attached pull it back and un hook the harness then it will slide right out.
