Look at the pan you got, if it has the one with the sensor hole, then go for the one with a sensor hole.

How much to change the oil pan on 2006 dodge charger sxt

You can purchase universal drain plugs at about any parts store that are designed to repair stripped out pans. They have a bar with a nut that fits into your drain hole and a plug seal that fit around the drain hole. This is the cheapest way to permanantly fix your problem.

How big should the hole be for the speed sensor in the transmisson for my 1997 dodge grand caravan se 3.0 liter

There is an input and output speed sensor. They look identical. The input is just user the cooler hoses and the output is to the right as your standing in front of the ven. A one inch socket will work to remove them. The hole in the transmission will be slightly smaller than one inch. If you need an exact size you can remove one of them nod measure it.

Where do i find the oil sensor to replace it

I believe that the oil sensor is located on the bottom of oil pan. Look for a plug that can be loosened. Be careful not to get oil all over the place. The entire oil pan may need to be removed to gain access to it. I would recommend an oil change after the job is dont. Hope this helps! Please rate 4 thumbs up!

Remove the oil drain plug. Remove the oil filter. Install new oil filter using a little bit of new oil on the seal. Replace the drain plug. Fill with oil through oil filler on valve cover.

Best of luck, Jim

How much trans fluid needed after filter change on 1997 dodge caravan

My 1997 Caravan manual states that the trans fluid capacity is 8.5 quarts. However, in the transmission oil change section, it says to drop the pan, drain the oil, replace the filter and add 4 quarts of new fluid. This tells me that the torque converter is not draining so you are in fact, only changing "half" of the transmission fluid.
