Question about 2003 Dodge Durango
I have a 2003 durango and my headlights, dome lights, windshield wipers, & door locks just quit working... I was wondering if you had already had the problem fixed with your Durango? If so, how did you fix it/what was wrong?
If you could contact me at email@example.com that would be great thanks!
Hi my name is Allen!
Sorry Trey I'm not allowed to contact you that way, but let's see if I can help you through FixYa!
Here what I need you to do:
Open the drivers door and you will see a big rubber hose going from the door to the body of the vehicle. Pull the rubber hose away from the door side and see if you see a big black wire broken into, this is a ground wire for everything you have lost. If it's broken go to the next repair procedure!
Next: Do not try to solder the wire back together it will only bend again and eventually break again.
Next: Get a wire of the same size long enough to run from inside the vehicle out to where the break is, solder and heat shrink the wire at the door and inside the vehicle, this will repair the problem for good.
