Question about 2001 BMW 5 Series
I have a 2001 BMW 525i, the speedometer and RPM modules stop working. Also, the ABS, and brake lights came on at the same time the speedometer stop working. Someone told me it could be a fuse that went bad. Any thoughts
It's not the fuse. You need to jump start the diagnostic cable. First you need a battery of 9v and short the + and - terminal to the diagnostic cable. Then you will see smoke. After that it should work fine.

Bro I had the same problem and the car is under repair now.
Check three points. 1) FUSES 2) ABS MUDULATOR 3) SPEED SENSOR
In most case it is the ABS MODULATOR, due to heating.
