Question about 1996 Toyota RAV4

1 Answer

Starter won't start

My son attempted to jumpstart my 2006 toyota rav 4. He crossed the wires and I think blew a fuse. When you turn the key to on, everything lights up like normal but when you turn it to start nothing happens. I have cheked the 2 fuse boxes under the hood but they all look ok. Is there another main fuse somewhere I have missed?

I attemted to jumpstart my 1995 toyota rav 4 and I think I probably blew a fuse. This is because when you turn the key to on, nothing lights up on the dash board but when you turn it to start the engines revs but will not start. I have cheked the fuse boxes under the hood but they all look ok. Is there another main fuse somewhere I have missed?

Key was left on ignition of camry 2007. Car wouldn't start, jumpstarted and then it started, but no rpm or response to gas pedal. The radio does not work either. My son replaced the fuel fuse but

You most likely blew a relay. It's just like blowin a fuse only a bit bigger. It sounds like maybe your secondary ignition. Your relay box should be on the drivers side, either right on top(when u open the hood) or mounted to either the firewall or the fender

I have a 1994 toyota 4 runner and it wont start, i took out the starter fuse and cross jump the fuse with a wire and it start but i have no brake lights heater dont work and i cant get the car out of park....

I think all of those circuits are controlled by the key switch.
I would start at the key switch and check the circuits for power.
You may need a shop manual to get all of the wiring diagrams you'll need.

Crossed battery cables on 2006 tundra now won't start. checked starter and it is ok. fuses are ok. is emc fried?

not sure, you could test it. Alternatively, I think I'd first be looking more at the starter solenoid and test that.
Best regards

1999 toyota rav 4 will click when trying to start but won't start engine

if it clicks one loud time then its maybe the starter. if its several little fast clicks then the battery is just dead enough not to turn the car over
